A Visit To Kamay Ni Hesus : The Via Dolorosa Grotto And The 50Ft Statue of The Risen Christ

P2203505tAfter attending the healing mass, we headed immediately to the well-known Via Dolorosa Grotto. It is basically a a religious shrine and grotto located in Barangay Tinamnan, Lucban, Quezon and is situated on the slopes of Mount Banahaw. It features life sized images depicting the fourteen stations of the cross and a 50 ft image of the Risen Christ on top which is considered as the World’s third tallest Risen Christ Statue.P2203515tIn order to reach the top, you have to pass through 305 steps. According to other people who visited the shrine before, the steps were much safer now and climbing the grotto is way easier compare to its condition before. The place really reminds me of the Via Dolorosa Shrine in Pinagmisahan Hills in Antipolo except for the fact that all stations here can be seen at one glance.P2203525tThe entrance to Via Dolorosa GrottoP2203531tThe Welcome Marker! Additional Note: Climbing 350 steps is not a joke and you must be physically fit in order to do so. In addition to that, you must be equipped with proper gear. Feel free to check Runner Click for better information on what gears to wear when running, hiking or any related activities.

305 steps? I feel like I wanna do an imitation of Po, Kung Fu Panda. He hates that too? LOL! Anyway, I noticed photos seem to have filters applied. I think it would look nicer if you show the natural colors.

This is quite interesting. I’ve heard from my officemates that a lot of people flock here to do their pilgrimage during Holy Week. This is timely for those who want to visit this place next week.

That’s a lot of steps. I have a feeling I read this before, but then I saw the date. Maybe it’s me having a deja vu. Could be a good thing in that case. Love the selfie, since I am fond of selfies. I have never seen something religious like this… http://bit.ly/sofarsosabine

I have been there too. And I still want to go back, this time around with my mag-ama. I believe it is miraculous! All my prayer peritions came true last time I went. My Quezon trip was really memorable because of this, and the pancit habhab hehehe

I’d like to visit this place too with my family. But I’m not sure if my small kids can go up those steps! 🙂 haha All of them are 7 and below in age. But then again, we got to go up the grotto in Baguio. 🙂

Hi Jocelyn, thanks for droppin by
The nearest resort from kamay Ni Hesus would be the Batis Aramin Resort and Hotel. The place is just located in front of the the Kamay Ni Hesus Shrine.
Food wise, don’t forget to try Lucban’s famous Pancit Hab Hab and those sticky cheesy bibingka you can find along the way!
