The Transfiguration Of Christ Church In Antipolo

After we went to the Antipolo Cathedral, we headed to another church which is way more stunning and more peaceful. It’s the Transfiguration of Christ Church located in Brgy San Roque, Antipolo City. It was a huge church but during that time, the church was close but the people there warmly welcomed us. The landescape and the overall exterior of the church is truly stunning and is definitely an ideal place to have your wedding.P7250111eeBefore reaching the actual facade of the church, you’ll have to pass through huge number of steps. Don’t worry they also have a high wheelchair ramps on both side for disabled ones.
P7250113e If the Antipolo Cathedral is already three centuries old, The Transfiguration of Christ Church is relatively new. It is a new parish in the Diocese of Antipolo, having been canonically erected on December 12, 2002.
P7250115 A closer view to the church’s facade.
P7250117e Here’s the opposite view from the front of the church. See how impressive the landscape is? P7250129e Before entering the church’s premises, you will be welcomed with this huge concrete replica depicting the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ. P7250128e They also have a huge colombarium and memorial chapels inside. The colombarium was closed at that time but we managed to see their memorial chapels which are so new, they are air conditioned, and has some basic church amenities inside.
P7250126e Just took a photo of a flower growing near one of their chapels. P7250124e As you enter the church, you will be welcomed by a replica of Saint John Paul II in front of the church’s nave opposite the main altar.P7250119e As you can see, there are scaffolding inside the church simply because it is currently being renovated. It actually looks like a mansion and a church in one. The view outside is even more stunning. After spending time praying and touring, we decided to hit our next destination but the weather is not really cooperating well so we headed back to Pasay to stop over at MOA.

Hi Milton, I just wanted to ask if the church itself is air-conditioned? Thank you!

Good Day Ms Leslie.. thanks for dropping by… As far as I know, the church is not airconditioned.. they got huge ceiling fans though and overwhelming amount of wall fans (similar to what you can see from Binondo Church)… I am not aware if the Columbarium is airconditioned or not too.. but as far as I remember, the colambarium is surrounded by open steel gates so I assume the place is not airconditioned as well ^_^
