A New Hang-Out Place in Molino ~ The Black Apartment
Few weeks ago, my friends and I celebrated our first year anniversary. It has been a year since we first met each other. We were youth delegates from different towns of Cavite from different Curia (a higher council of Legion of Mary), sent for a 2-Days-1-Night Youth conference in Bulacan last December 2016.
Anyway, to make the story short, we finally got a chance to meet each other again. We went to this newly opened burger restaurant in Bahayang Pagasa, Molino, Cavite. The Black Apartment, as catchy as it sounds, offers an interesting concept and an equally catchy and intriguing set of meals.
As what the title suggests, the Black Apartment is a burger restaurant that is literally housed in a black apartment-style building! The one in Bahayang Pagasa, Molino is actually the second branch. The first one is located in Imus and was established in 2015. According to their Facebook Page, The Black Apartment is created and run by seven young professionals with combined experiences in food, entrepreneurship, information technology as well as research and marketing. With their combined skills in food, business and marketing, it is not really surprising for these young entrepreneurs and food lover to come up with such interesting concept.
The intriguing atmosphere is not the only thing that makes this restaurant a stand out, the meals are equally enticing too. They currently offer 10 variety of gourmet burgers, wings, fries and refreshments.
As soon as you enter their place, you will be greeted with a very simplistic ambiance. There are no fancy decorations or anything but some minimalistic details that are good enough to set the mood right. Remaining faithful with their theme, the restaurant is adorned with black and white color scheme. This is even perfectly matched with those black pendant lamps and paintings made from newspapers and magazines. They got strong Wifi too (just approach the crew for the password)
The restaurant can accommodate an overwhelming amount of guests but the only downside is that the tables are set very near to each other so the privacy is quite a concern but other than that everything is perfect. The crew are very approachable too!
The Black Apartment has a lot of signature burgers and what really makes them so cool is the fact that the burger’s name are all related to apartments (landlord, bedspacer, tenant and more)
I ordered their Hole In The Wall burger. It is really unique as it has a glazed donut as buns instead of the typical bread. The sweetness of the doughnut blends perfectly with their flavorful patty and bacon. They also offer wide range of beverages from shakes, iced tea, lemonade and frappes.
It was truly a well-spent afternoon for all of us! So am I going back to Black Apartment? Hell Yeah! That Hole in the Wall is my personal favorite and possibly one of the best tasting burger I ever had!
