Batangas Pilgrimage Tour
Few weeks ago, me and the rest of the Legion of Mary of San Roque Parish church went to Batangas for a Pilgrimage tour as part of our July Awareness month. We went to Antipolo last year but we only managed to visit a couple of churches from that town since the weather was not cooperating with us (check my Antipolo Cathedral and the Transfiguration of Christ Church posts). We didn’t have enough opportunity to explore others but that’s exactly the opposite of what happened to us in Batangas. We managed to visit not just two but eight different churches/chapel/shrine. Now allow me to list them down. I’m going to have a separate post for each church too.
St Thomas Aquinas Parish (Sto Tomas , Batangas)
National Shrine of St Padre Pio (Sto Tomas, Batangas)

San Sebastian Cathedral (Lipa , Batangas) 
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish (Lipa City, Batangas)

Amazing structures. I didn’t even realize that we have so many beautiful churches and facades. As I admire the structures of Europe, I should have started in my own backyard. Will do a tour next time.
I love all your photos very much. The architectures are so unique and beautiful with different characters. This makes me wonder which foreign country actually influenced the architectural designs in Philippines.
looks like the weather is perfect that day you went to Batangas, you were able to visit not just two but EIGHT churches, shrines and chapels.. that was indeed a very “profitable” trip, haha.. look at all those buildings, they are indeed beautiful!! I supposed some are new and some are old but very well kept.. I personally like the shot of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish (Lipa City, Batangas) the most.. 🙂

Wow, 8 churches! The National Shrine of St Padre Pio looks so nice like a big dome. I fancy the exterior architecture of San Sebastian Cathedral most. Which of these is the oldest?
I didn’t know that Batangas, like Ilocos, has a lot of churches to visit.
I’d been here in Metro Manila for quite some time now, but I haven’t attended any pilgrimage yet. And honestly, I am envious with you for having this wonderful experience. You did not only had the chance to visit those wondrous worship buildings, but also had a chance to talk to Him. I wish I could attend one before I move to my hometown for good soon.
They have really nice churches in the south. It has history and heritage in each of the churches.
