20 Most Amazing Booths From AsiaPop Comicon 2016! The #EffortMuch APCC2016 Post
17. The “Poketrucks” from MARCars
If HistoryCon has a bunch of vintage and newly released supercars, well, AsiaPop Comicon has this pair of gigantic “Poketrucks”. These are custom built trucks from MARCars which are both designed to make them look “Geek-friendly”. The two cars were both inspired from Pokemon. The image above is obviously derived from Pikachu.
This One is inspired from Team Rocket!
18. Animax’s Activity Booth
We all want freebies Aren’t we? Animax booth offers an activity , a simple yet surprisingly challenging game that I personally enjoyed. It is basically a shoot-the-hoops game. Each participant was given 4 hoops and the goal is to shoot at least two in any of the featured standees. They are actually the cute characters from their new show “Oo-kun”
19. AXN’s Ninja Warrior Activity Booth
Too bad i forgot to take a picture but I had a short clip showing this exciting activity booth here. It’s a Ninja-Warrior inspired activity where you participants are challenged to do some simple parkour tricks by jumping from one platform to another. I do not think that I am physically fit for that activity though so I din’t tried it at all.
20. The Center Stage / Boxing Arena
Okay, that is not technically a booth! The Center Stage is the place where some of the events will be hosted and some of their exhibitors and sponsors will get the chance to promote their companies. It is not designed as a boxing arena for no reason. The Philippines Wrestling Revolution also raced the stage to showcase some of their impressive boxing stunts!
My next APCC entry will focus more on the comics artists and amazing cosplayers that I spotted during the event!
Aw, I can’t believe I missed this. I have become a fan of Marvel since X-men, but I am more of an Anime fan. Hopefully, the two conventions of Anime and Comicon won’t be on the same day, because I have to split my body if that happens next time.
I haven’t seen a comicon. Good thing, you shared this post. I’ll definitely look forward to the next ones,
Okey so i got confused with the pages! Ang dami lang… Hahaha! It must’ve been a fun and really entertaining event. I love the Poketrucks! Intensive display and design.. And the Lego! If my son will ever saw this he’s gonna say WOW! Im not really a fan of comics or cosplays but once in a while i appreciate their colors π
Wow! I’d love to attend someday!
Metal diecast and Hot toys are my fave booths- all because of Ironman! hehehehe… looks like you had a lot of fun at the event. did you try to do a bit of cosplaying there as well? π
Asia Pop Comic con is one of the conventions that I am crying about, all because hindi ako nakapunta.. #Naiingit ako sayooo hahahaha
The whole event was a blast and everyday looked worth your time. This would be perfect for my friend who is obsessed with comics and the different characters. Not a big fan but I, time by time, would love to see these colorful and inspiring characters.
Oh, I haven’t heard of this. I am a big fan of Marvel too π
Haven’t been to any of APCC yet but seeing posts about it and photos is just amazing. I’m jealous of you! You were able to go there and see those booths. I can’t say if I have a favorite but I got intrigued by that tagalized TWD! I just hope they would do justice with the dubbing and others. Glad you enjoyed APCC! π
You know, I was *THIS* close to going! Kainis ka! Hahaha, kidding aside, I regret not pushing myself to attend APCC this year. I had already bought my ticket in advance online (even though the main reason why I wanted to go was to have a picture with Hayley Atwell – QUEEN), but due to unforseen circumstances, I wasn’t able to fly to Manila. It looks like you had such an amazing time! Haven’t heard of HistoryCon before. What do they do there?
buti na lang they announced it before the actual event that Hayley cancelled her appearance dito sa APCC, otherwise, if ever you attended without the notice from them.. you will be greatly disappointed .. pero nandun naman si Nicholas Hault and si Eleven… HistoryCon is merely about history and anything related to History channel.. there was a Car show too in promotion with their Celebrity Car Wars show
Amazing is the right word you have used here. I will always be biased towards Marvel no matter what. The celebrity line-up is quite impressive too inspite of what you rightly said that its not as grand as last year’s.
Love your chart and totally agree. Comicons are great fun really.
I haven’t seen nor atteneded anything like this. And can’t believe I missed a lot. Now, I know and I’m looking forward to attend one
This is great, I wanna be a part of this event someday. I can be with my favorite Marvel Heroes. I hope there will be an event like this in Davao. ejeje
With five boys in the house, four of which are Marvel fanatics, surely they would have asked me to go here. Everything is a beauty. And surely you had a great time looking out, trying and even admiring those colorful and gigantic displays.
