Immaculate Conception Church in Santa Cruz, Laguna / Santa Cruz Church
After visiting the recently declared National Shrine of Saint Anthony of Padua in Pila, Laguna, we went to visit another church in Santa Cruz. The church is dedicated under the patronage of Immaculate Conception. It is located along Pedro Guevarra Street, Poblacion, Santa Cruz, Laguna.
The first church was established in 1602 but due to sanitary problems in the original location, the church was transferred in 1608 in its present location and built the present church under the direction of Father Antonio de la Llave. The church, however, was utterly destroyed in 1945 during the Liberation and was reconstructed in 1948.
The Immaculate Conception Church or commonly known as the Santa Cruz Church comes with a simple yet beautiful facade. The second level comes with three niches with statues depicting the Annunciation, the Nativity and the Immaculate Conception respectively.

On the left side of the church is a three-level bell tower with the statue of the Virgin Mary mounted on top.

The church welcomes you with a simple white interior.

There is also an altar dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima

Immaculate Conception Church was part of our Laguna Pilgrimage last year. After the Santa Cruz Church, we headed to the Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Pagsanjan, Laguna.
