Revisiting Kamay Ni Hesus Shrine in Lucban, Quezon
A trip to Lucban may not be completed without dropping by to the well known pilgrim site, the Kamay Ni Hesus (Hand of Jesus). Whether you are a religious person or not, Kamay Ni Hesus is indeed a great destination you should not miss!
One of the most interesting highlights of Kamay Ni Hesus is the 50ft Statue of the Risen Christ. The statue as well as the Way of the Cross grotto are situated on the slopes of Mount Banahaw. Visitors must be able to conquer all the 305 steps in order to reach the top.
This is actually not my first time to visit the well-known pilgrim site. I’ve been here last Lent season and also after the Pahiyas Festival (Check Pahiyas Festival 2017). Kamay ni Hesus is located in Barangay Tinamnan, Lucban, Quezon and I must say that it was not an easy ride. We passed through some nerve wrecking curves. Aside from the marvelous 50 ft image of the Risen Christ which is by the way considered the third largest in the world, people especially the devotees are visiting this place for many reasons.
Located at the foot of the Via Dolorosa Grotto is the Healing Church. People who are seeking for spiritual enlightenment used to attend the healing mass lead by Father Joey Faller. Check more about this healing priest at : A Visit To Kamay Ni Hesus – Father Faller and the Healing Church.
The Via Dolorosa Grotto and the 50ft Statue of the Christ was inaugurated on December of 2004. It is constantly being improved for the convenience of those who want to climb the grotto. The place really reminds me of the Via Dolorosa Shrine in Pinagmisahan Hills in Antipolo except for the fact that all stations here can be seen at one glance.
