C3 : Cavite City Cosfest Part 1 – Booths and Sponsors

Sorry for this very late post. Today, I’ll start off my Cosplay entries including the recently held C3 : Cavite City CosFest. C3 : Cavite City CosFest is the first ever Major Cosplay events in Cavite City which was made possible in partnership with Solido Caviteño, Subsonic Forge and Anime Carousel.

Solido Caviteño is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious group that is merely composed and organized by pure Caviteños. Subsonic Forge on the other hand is a private shop that caters wide range of movie, anime, and novelty M2O props while Anime Carousel is yet another Otaku group in Facebook.  It is basically a 2-day event which was held on April 12 and 13 respectively at Montano Hall Cavite City.

The venue opened at 10am and tickets can be bought outside the venue. The admission fee and the ticket was worth 100Php per day. Several activities were made for both Day 1 and Day 2. I actually went to the said venue (Day 1) around 11am and I was surprised to see few attendees and cosplayers but I was actually expecting to see more in the afternoon considering that the official event will start off 12 noon onward. Supposedly, there should be four major activities to be held on the first day including the Elsword Cosplay Category, Art Contest, Open Group Category and the Battle of the Bands (Open Group however was moved on Day 2). While waiting for the major events, you are free to explore different booths from different sponsors.

I was probably expecting too much but the booths are actually very few and most of them are not even relevant to anime , games or manga at all. But hey, this is the first ever Cosplay event made for Caviteños so I could probably take that as a consideration but I am hoping that emcees should become more enthusiastic next year.
