Hard Ball

You all know that i am not a sporty type of guy that i rather stay inside watching cartoon than spending the whole day tracking the latest happenings on the world cup or whatsoever. I never realized that my attention will be so much focused on a sport movie. I just watched “Hard Ball” starring Keanu Reeves. Keanu is playing the character of Conor O’Neill who is a gambler who has bet on his dead father’s account and is now severely in debt. In order to repay the debt, he must coach a baseball team of troubled kids in the Cabrini-Green housing projects of Chicago. He had decided that once he repaid his debts, he would leave the team, but soon Conor connects with the kids and finds it harder to leave than he thought. The most touching part of the story is where Oneil decided to leave his gamblers life and give his heart in teaching the kids. The story is very dramatic and very unpredictable as well as one of the kids died after being shot by a bullet. However, this kids never lose their hope so as O neil. It serves as an inspiration to all of them to pursue their goals.

I never expect that a sport movie can be a very inspiring and tear jeerking like this. Awesome!
