Pinoy Candies and Snacks From 80s to 90s That Are Still Available Today
36. Annie’s Langka and Ube – Another classic pinoy treat is the chew pastillas Annie’s Langka and Annie’s Ube. Langka and Ube-langka candies are products by the Annie Candy Manufacturing in Imus, Cavite. These chewy candies are notable for their very rich flavor of Langka and Ube that you can indulged in every bite.
37. Yakee! and Pintoora – Before these two product from Columbia arrived, we once have chewing gums like Cry Baby (A super sour gum) and Mouth Wash (a tinting gum). Since both candies eventually vanished out from the market, it is later replaced by these two brands with similar features. Yakee is the super sour gum ball while Pintoora allows you to put color in your tongue and teeth.

These Iconic Pinoy Snacks – Some snacks that we grew up loving with that are still available today includes Piattos (Cheese-flavored Potato chips); Ri-Chee (a milk flavored crunchy snack); Clover Chips (a cheesy melt-in your mouth chips); Pee Wee (A bbq flavored crunchy snack); Chiz Curls (another cheesy melt in your mouth cheese curls); Moby (crunchy chocolate flavored corn snack); Tomi (corn ships with distinctive rich sweet corn flavor); Kirei (shrimp flavor yummy flakes); Snacku (a healthy vegetable flavor snack from Regent); Potato Fries (quite pricey yet super yummy potato snacks that can be matched perfectly with beer); Roller Coaster (crispy potato rings); Nutri Star(a star-shaped barbeque flavored crispy snack).
39. Kobi Potato Flavor Snack – Another snack that we can rarely find today is Regent’s Kobi. I’m so glad that these flavorful potato snack is still available and they still got the same glossy foil packaging! Regent is also the same company behind other crunchy snacks like Sweet Corn, Cheese Rings and Snacku.
40. Jolly Finger Cream Sandwich Cookies – Jolly is another old school biscuit brand from Fibisco that you probably still remember. It’s probably one of the snacks that your mom used to include in your lunch box. Fibisco is the same company that manufactures Hi-Ro and honestly, you’ll find the taste of Jolly Fillings and the one in Hi-Ro quite identical.
41. Knick Knacks Milk and Chocolate Coated Biscuits – I bet you still remember that memorable Knick Knack commercial! While most people thought that Knick Knacks is a product by Jack N Jill, it is actually from a company called Delfi. Knick Knacks is notable for its “fish-shaped” biscuits coated in yummy and tasty chocolate! A perfect Baon for kids indeed!
This is such an extensive list of candies and snacks. You made me feel nostalgia as I saw some of the candies and snacks that I used to eat with my childhood friends.
Anyway, as I came from Quezon City, I didn’t get to try the Jovi’s Nata De Coco. It looks so interesting to me. I may just look for it when I had the chance to visit Laguna. Meanwhile, the White Rabbit, we used to ate was the chewy type. I miss that kind with its edible paper wrapper.

Let me share this with you. When I lived in Boracay for five years, our dive shop was located on Lorenzo Resorts Main. It does not exist now, but during that time, one of my partners was the owner of the resort.
He once had a guest and while talking, somehow, the conversation went to candies. My partner then proudly said his favorite is Choc-Nut. The person he was talking to was even more proud – turns out he was the owner of the company that makes Choc-Nuts!
Haha! Crazy list. I felt it was like some sort of throwback. 🙂 I didn’t know some candies and snacks were still being sold today, except for Chocnut. I still love it and I actually have a pack right now waiting for me in the fridge. Haha! Thanks!
I want to grab all of these. I am a candy lover. I don’t eat as much but i still eat a lot of them. I haven’t tried a couple of them, and will love to. Going to buy now. haha!
Interesting! I have never heard of any of these. But I’m sure I would love Choco-nut because I love chocolate peanut candies. Really I like any candy! We have our own nostalgic snacks in the US too–like Count Chocula cereal!
I wonder if there are still shops or stores selling them today. Totally reminds me of my grade school days.. snacking on these candies! This made me smile.
There are brands here that are also available during the 70s. It brings back memory pare. There are other candy brands back then that I missed, mabibili mo na lang pag imported like “sugus” and “tootsirole(?)”

Ahh! Blast from the Past! The time when we didn’t care about eating all the ‘junk’ in the world. I remembered Choc-Nut and Stay Fresh. I still have some Choc-Nut every now and then, but it’s sad I can’t see Stay Fresh candies anymore.

I love choc-nut! Back then once I eat one I would find a hard time stop. I always have one on my bag and my mom would scold me because I have been eating a lot of it. The blockbuster milk chocolate does the same thing for me as well. I can finish a pack in one seat! lol…
as you said, it’s nostalgic. Mostly are in the 90’s. used to it Marie biscuits (but they say it’s for babies). Ovaltine, chocnut, sweet corn. Oohh. Makes me want to buy them again! And you found that nata de coco? Yay! It’s a to go drink kids love before – just like me. Hihi. Thank you for reminding us about this. now, I really need to know where are these being sold.

I miss those white rabbit candies! I haven’t had those in a long time! I have encountered the hard version which is nothing like the ones with the wrapper. Curly Tops and Flat Tops are still a popular chocolate choice at home. I think my kids still eat Mik Mik even though they’re teens!

OMG! Stay fresh! I have one funny sotry about that. I ate the whole pack and put it all on my mouth. Then I think my cousin joked around and made me laugh so hard that I blew all the candies out. Hahaha!

Ano yung chichirya na nilalagyan ng suka?? Included yung suka na nakalagay sa separate packaging tapos ihahalo mo sya sa chichirya? I think you forgot the vicks candy that comes in a 2 pc. candy in each wrap,more like shaped like a triangle,anyway you made me smile while reading your article.
